Bettie C. Lapham 64, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at the home.

A native of Carbon Hill Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Center. Bettie was a member of Tabbs Creek Baptist Church and was a Registered Nurse previously employed with Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening December 6, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford. A graveside service will be held at Memory Hill Cemetery on December 12, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in Dothan Alabama.

She is survived by her two children, daughter Emily Tharpe (Dwayne) and son Bill Helms, all of Dothan Alabama. She has four grandchildren, Andrew Tharpe, Justin Tharpe, Jasper Helms and Addison Helms, one sister, Suzanne Parker (Loren) of Blaine, WA and a special friend, Jimmy Henson of Oxford. Bettie was preceded in death by her brother, Harry E. Center, III.
